NewMediaPlus has been environmentally responsible since before it was cool! Our CEO attended one of the nation’s top environmental colleges, Green Mountain College, in Vermont. You might think it's silly that a graphic design and Web development firm can “go green”, but designers can create a lot of waste and negatively impact the planet. Not only are we committed to reducing waste and pollution in-house, but we do so for our clients, as well.

NewMediaPlus has made a pledge to Design Can Change. Design Can Change is a non-commercial initiative aimed at bringing together the design community and making system-wide changes to how it affects the planet.

NewMediaPlus educates and engages our employees, as well as our clients, and encourages them to support the environment through their day-to-day activities, both at home and at work. We advise our employees and clients on how even making small changes in their daily lives can have lasting effects on the environment.

NewMediaPlus leads by example by only selecting eco-friendly products and services, as well as factoring “going green” into the design of our retail locations. Below are some of the steps NewMediaPlus has taken to become eco-friendly:

• NewMediaPlus is working with eco-friendly hosting platforms to ensure cleaner energy and carbon offset solutions.
• NewMediaPlus will use renewable energy whenever it is available
• Our CPUs and RAM have been optimized to draw less energy, up to a 30 percent savings
• NewMediaPlus uses recycled products at every opportunity. We also encourage our clients to do the same. The easiest way to get started is to follow the Green Paper Guide and buy recycled paper.
